Job Title: Electrical Estimator

About the Role:
We are a leading M&E contractor based in the Midlands, specialising in delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical solutions across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team and assist with Midlands-based projects.
Job Overview:
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be a vital part of the tendering process, preparing detailed and competitive bids for electrical projects. You will work closely with suppliers, sub-contractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and compliant estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Send out enquiries to suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Perform take-offs from drawings and input data into estimation software.
- Analyse received quotations to ensure compliance with tender requirements.
- Complete tender analysis, including preliminary costs and specific project details.
- Customise tender letters and summaries to meet submission requirements, incorporating clarifications as needed.
- Collaborate with the project and design teams to ensure estimates align with project scopes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator with a reputable M&E contractor.
- Strong Electrical background with experience in estimating full Electrical packages.
- Relevant industry qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification is desirable.
- Proficiency in estimation software and the ability to perform detailed take-offs.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and produce high-quality tender submissions.
