Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Double Day Shift)
We are a manufacturer of packaging solutions and are seeking an electrical and mechanical maintenance engineer to provide high-quality and timely services for the production department that requires engineering-specific knowledge and skills.
You will ensure that all equipment on the site is maintained to the highest standards relating to safety, efficiency, and performance for use by the operations department.
Shift Pattern & Salary
Shift: Days/Afters Rotation (05:30 to 13:30 / 13:30 to 21:30)
Days per week: 5
- Ensure all equipment is in a safe and serviceable condition to maintain and enhance performance within the corrugating/conversion plant.
- Reduce engineering downtime by responding rapidly to machine failures and breakdowns.
- Undertake projects and assist with all on-site installations.
- Maintain open and clear communication with management and colleagues.
- Develop, implement, and improve planned maintenance schedules.
- Prioritise work within the engineering department and deploy resources accordingly.
- Identify training needs and skill gaps within the department.

- Experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (F.M.C.G.)
- 18th Edition
- NVQ3 / ONC / HNC qualified
Additional Key Skills (Mechanical):
- 5 years of mechanical maintenance engineering experience
Additional Key Skills (Electrical):
- 5 years of electrical maintenance engineering experience (required) or
- Fault-finding on 3-phase control circuits (required)
- Experience with control systems (required)
- Experience with PLCs (preferred)
