Role : Commercial Electrician
Location : South East London

We are an international facilities management company with over 100 years experience in the industry, currently employing over 4000 engineers.  We work closely with many industries such as government, healthcare, education, retail and the aviation industry.  Our services in the hard sector include, Electrical and mechanical maintenance, building services, fire safety, and compliance.

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to work on commercial properties within a local authority contract. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance, inspections, and installation work across a range of public buildings as youth centres, libraries, care homes and commerical & industrial properties ensuring compliance with all electrical regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations on council-owned commercial properties.
• Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on electrical systems.
• Carry out periodic inspections and testing in accordance with the latest regulations.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and site managers.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
• Attend emergency call-outs when required.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent testing and inspection qualification (desirable).
• Experience working on commercial properties, particularly within public sector contracts.
• Strong knowledge of electrical compliance and health & safety requirements.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

OVER TIME RATES

i.              Overtime Mon – Fri                                         1.5 x normal hourly rate

ii.             Sat prior to 12.00 pm                                      1.5 x normal hourly rate

iii.            Sat after 12.00 pm                                           2 x normal hourly rate

iv.           Sun & bank holidays all day                          2 x normal hourly rate
