Engineer Scheduler

Basic salary £32,000 per year / Full time / permanent / 40 hour week

We are recruiting a Repairs & Maintenance Helpdesk Coordinator to join our busy operations team. A hands-on role within a drainage and plumbing contractor supporting the smooth coordination of engineers, jobs, and clients in a busy maintenance setting.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and includes job management, engineer scheduling, client communication, and follow-up of completed works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer office calls and manage the main inbox
  • Log new jobs on BigChange and book engineers
  • Schedule and coordinate engineers’ daily workloads
  • Ensure engineers are fully booked 3–5 days in advance
  • Book and confirm appointments with clients and tenants
  • Track engineers during the day and update clients as needed
  • Confirm next-day works with engineers daily
  • Order materials to support first-time fixes
  • Prepare and chase basic quotes
  • Complete generic RAMS when required
  • Review completed works and rebook follow-on jobs
