A well‑established provider of fire and security solutions is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Technician to join their growing team. The company delivers high‑quality services to commercial, educational, and care home environments across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and surrounding areas. Their focus is on safety, compliance, and delivering reliable, industry‑standard solutions that protect people, property, and business operations.
 
Role Overview
 
This is a field-based role covering a 30‑mile radius of Bedford. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of a range of fire and security systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain fire and security systems
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
• Conduct inspections to ensure systems meet compliance and performance standards
• Work professionally on client sites, maintaining strong communication and customer service
• Collaborate with the wider engineering team to deliver high‑quality solutions

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working on fire and security systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to provide references and undertake an Enhanced DBS check
• Full UK driving licence and full right to work in the UK
• Physically capable of performing on‑site installation and maintenance tasks
• Relevant industry training or certifications are advantageous

Package

• Up to £40,000
• 25 days holiday + BH
