Maintenance Manager – Based in Dudley (Covering Dudley & Bury St Edmunds) Salary: £55,000 + Excellent Benefits + Company Van
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm
Location: Primarily based in Dudley, with 1 day/week at Bury St Edmunds
Are you an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong manufacturing background, who thrives on driving performance through data, KPIs, and strategic planning?
We’re seeking a PPM-focused Maintenance Manager to oversee engineering operations across two distribution centres (Dudley and Bury St Edmunds). You’ll be based mostly at Dudley (whichever is closer to your home), with travel once a week to the other site — a company van and fuel costs are provided.
This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone who has previously set up and implemented PPM maintenance systems such as SHIRE, Pirana, MaintenanceX, or bespoke platforms — not just worked within a pre-established system.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead maintenance across both sites (teams of 3–4 engineers per site)
  • Implement, optimise, and own the PPM strategy and system
  • Track and improve key KPIs: machine uptime, MTBF, cost per product, engineer efficiency, etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement and deliver measurable cost savings
  • Report regularly to senior leadership with actionable insights and data
  • Oversee compliance, RAMS, and contractor activity with minimal production disruption
  • Train, mentor, and develop your engineering team
  • Manage energy consumption and engineering budgets

What You Must Have

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance/Engineering Manager in a manufacturing environment
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing and managing a PPM system (not just inheriting one)
  • Ability to show evidence of impact:
    • Reduced downtime
    • Designed and implemented custom PPM tools
    • Delivered continuous improvement strategies that increased production
    • Managed KPI-driven engineering departments

You’ll Get:

  • £55,000 base salary
  • 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
  • Use of a company van + all fuel costs covered
  • Health Cash Plan, Income Protection, Life Insurance
  • Management Training Programme and opportunity for career progression
  • Clear path to Operations Manager role and a higher salary tier

If you’re a data-driven leader, passionate about engineering excellence and continuous improvement, and want to take the next step in your career — we want to hear from you. Send your CV to #Sam now.
