Maintenance and Installation

Role Location
Nationwide coverage required – field-based Monday to Friday for approximately 10–11 weeks, followed by 1 week working near home base. Home base can be situated either in the East Midlands or South West region.
Salary: £38,000

Position Summary We’re seeking a skilled LPG engineer with experience in off-grid gas systems to join our residential multi-property installations team. The role centres on installing and servicing liquefied fuel systems at customer premises throughout the country.
This is a mobile role involving regular travel and extended stays away from home during the workweek. Full training is provided through a mix of in-field mentoring and structured learning at a dedicated energy systems training facility.

Team Focus This specialist team manages centralised fuel systems serving groups of properties, where metering is used to provide individual billing. The group oversees the full lifecycle—from initial installation to ongoing system maintenance and customer supply.

Core Duties

  • Fit and connect gas tanks, underground/aboveground pipework, and metering systems
  • Conduct safety checks, maintenance work, and commissioning procedures
  • Complete system purges, pressure testing, and formal certification
  • Follow site drawings and technical specs accurately
  • Carry out occasional physical/manual handling (with training)
  • Adhere strictly to all regulatory, compliance, and safety protocols

What You’ll Need

  • Full UK driving licence (Category B)
  • Up-to-date ACS qualifications including LPG-specific modules – · ACS Certification with LPG Tickets – CCLP1, CONGLP1 & VESLP1 or VESLP2
  • Willingness to travel and lodge away Monday through Friday
  • Effective communicator (spoken and written)
  • Strong independence and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to meet deadlines consistently

Desirable Skills & Knowledge

  • Comfortable using digital tools and reporting systems
  • High standards for workmanship and detail
  • Solid troubleshooting ability
  • Familiarity with UK safety standards and best practices for LPG systems
