PPM Maintenance Manager – Multi-Site (UK) Ideally located in Bury St Edmunds or in the West Midlands
£55,000 + Van + 25 Days Holiday + Pension + Dental & Health Plan
Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm | No Weekends or Overtime
  
We are seeking an experienced Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Manager to oversee maintenance operations across seven cold store distribution sites in the UK. This is a critical role managing small on-site teams of electrical and mechanical engineers, ensuring all assets and facilities are maintained to high standards and PPM systems are implemented and optimised.
We’re looking for someone hands-on and highly organised, with proven experience in building and running PPM systems from scratch using platforms like SHIRE, Pirana, SAP, MaintenanceX, or custom Excel systems.
  
What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage PPM systems across all sites, including set up new PPM schedules
    • Building asset registers
    • Creating fault/part coding structures
    • Inputting maintenance schedules
  • Ensure all maintenance work is logged accurately
  • Collaborate with on-site teams to standardise reporting and task completion
  • Coordinate with external refrigeration contractors (specialist works)
  • Lead, coach, and support small teams of multi-skilled engineers
  • Travel to sites 1–2 days per week (company van provided)
  • Ensure compliance with audit, health & safety, and operational standards

  
You’ll Need To Have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing maintenance engineering teams in manufacturing or FM maintenance
  • Proven experience implementing PPM systems (not just using them, you will be tested on this during your interview)
  • Background in facilities management, logistics or manufacturing
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in a mechanical or electrical engineering field
  • Full UK driving licence and British passport
  • Strong leadership and planning skills – we’re not looking for job hoppers
  • Confident using digital maintenance tools and asset management systems

  • £55,000 salary
