Electrical Maintenance Electrician – Day Shift!
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Hours: 40 hours per week (08:00-16:00, Monday-Friday)
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Working within the Maintenance Department and reporting to the Maintenance Leadership Team, the successful candidate will ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently to maintain production.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Fault diagnosis for electrical systems, including AC/DC motors and their speed controls.
- Performing planned and predictive maintenance activities.
- Testing and ensuring proper functioning of electrical units.
- Complying with safety norms and completing tasks following standard operating procedures.
- Completing Point of Work Risk Assessments and applying LOTO procedures before starting any task.
- Collaborating with team members to complete maintenance work as required.
- Attending relevant training and development activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Essential:
- Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering and HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems, AC/DC motor fault diagnosis, and three-term control (pressure, temperature, speed).
- Understanding of load cells and weighing principles.
- Siemens PLC controls knowledge or willingness to train.
- Experience with single and three-phase systems.
- Desirable:
- High Voltage equipment experience (or willingness to undertake training).
