Job Opportunity: Maintenance Manager (Electrical Bias)
Location: Based out of Brierley Hill with travel to various sites across the UK and 3 overnight stays per week.
Salary: £47,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
Role Overview: We are an international logistics business and are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with an electrical bias to oversee the smooth running of our operational sites. This role will be covering 8 sites. The sites will in Basildon, The West Midlands, Folkstone, Newmarket and on the Welsh / Shropshire Boarder. You will be travelling to these sites 3 days a week and will be provided with hotel accommodation for your overnight stays including a unlimited hotel food and drink budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Engineering team and Plant operations.
- Maintenance and fault-finding duties at the plant operation, including reading electrical drawings and inspecting panels to identify and rectify issues.
- Manage PPM schedules.
- Respond to breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Compliance with quality, Health & Safety, Food Safety and PPE.
- Manage teams to resolve mechanical and electrical problems promptly.
- Identify problems before they escalate, and action.
- Oversee on-site contractors.
- Occasionally operate forklifts.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 + apprenticeship.
- 5 years’ experience in a managerial role within facilities management.
- Computerised planned maintenance systems.
- 17th or 18th Edition certification.
- IT skills
