The company
Specialising in designing and building state-of-the-art robotic and automated systems for sectors like aerospace, automotive, and renewable energy. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with strong leadership skills to join our team. You will manage the delivery of complex, electromechanical systems for factory and process automation. This role requires someone with a problem-solving attitude, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to high standards.
- Prepare and present project materials according to our project management processes.
- Collaborate with the Projects Department to enhance project delivery consistency.
- Promote and advocate for the Projects Department within the company.
- Generate and maintain project documentation.
- Monitor design and technical milestones to ensure progress.
- Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and open communication.
- Work closely with internal departments for effective resource management.
- Deputise for the Project Director when necessary.
Skills and Background
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management or project engineering.
- Qualification in project management or equivalent experience.
- Degree in an engineering-related subject.
- Proven experience in managing people at all levels within a project environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Skilled in managing a busy and changeable workload.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Competent in organising project meetings with internal teams and high-level customers.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Must hold a British passport due to security clearance requirements.
