The Role:

Our reputation for solving challenging industrial problems is world-renowned. Join our team as a Mechanical Engineer and support us through our next exciting phase of project delivery. In this role, you will design and develop robot-based electromechanical systems for factory and process automation within a cross-functional project team.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll utilise manual and computer-aided engineering analysis, conceptual sketches, 3D CAD modelling, and functional proof-of-concept models to create and manage mechanical designs from concept to production, installation, and testing. You will be a natural communicator, liaising with all relevant stakeholders throughout the project life cycle. Additionally, you will participate in technical peer and cross-functional mechanical design reviews to ensure all proposed designs meet the product design requirements for your projects.

This role is ideal for an active problem solver with mechanical design experience in electromechanical design, factory/process automation, motion control, or related fields.

About You:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent certification, training, and experience
  • Minimum of two years of mechanical design experience in electromechanical design, factory/process automation, motion control, or related fields
  • Experience with requirements, technical, performance, functional, and non-functional
  • Skilled in creating and maintaining technical and safety risk registers
  • Proficient in creating and managing Bills of Material Structure
  • Experienced in product performance and acceptance testing
  • Familiar with various design and analysis tools and methods
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to build effective professional relationships at all levels
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills (working language is English)
  • Proficient in creating 3D CAD models and assemblies
  • Proficient in creating 2D orthographic engineering drawings in accordance with BS:8888
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
