General Manager – Premium Food & Beverage Brand
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 DOE
Location: Site-based in Herefordshire (Office, Factory & Warehouse)

This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting, founder-led, premium food & drink brand rooted in British farming, craftsmanship, and sustainability. With a product range stocked in retailers across the UK, the business is now entering an exciting phase of growth and operational scale-up.
They produce their products in-house — from raw ingredients to final packaging and are committed to maintaining exceptional quality and brand integrity as they grow.

The Role: We’re looking for a commercially minded General Manager with strong financial acumen and leadership experience in the FMCG or food & drink space. You’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the business, overseeing operations, finance, compliance and team performance — while helping shape the future direction.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, founder-led environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full operational, financial, and compliance agenda for the business
  • Oversee daily site activities across office, production, and warehouse
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost control with full P&L responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety and company policies
  • Drive efficiency improvements across the supply chain and operations
  • Act as the operational partner to the founder’s commercial vision
  • Support retail readiness and ongoing supply to major supermarket
  • Lead and inspire a growing team, shaping a strong and accountable culture

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience as a General Manager, Head of Ops, or Finance Director in an FMCG or food business
  • Strong financial foundation — ideally a qualified accountant or someone with demonstrable P&L ownership
  • Highly capable in both strategic planning and hands-on delivery
  • Background in production, logistics, food and drinks products is a real advantage
  • Experience scaling up operations and implementing structure/processes
  • A confident communicator and decision-maker with excellent organisational skills
  • Someone who thrives in a dynamic, founder-led business with a strong purpose
